A major earthquake in California is not a matter of IF, it’s WHEN. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) says there is a 99.7% chance of a significant earthquake 6.7 magnitude or greater in California within the next 30 years. The probability of that quake rocking Southern California is estimated at 67%.
